Privacy policy

Ledgrplus has no account, no analytics and no ads. Your ledger stays on your device, and goes to iCloud only if you turn that on.

The short version

  • Ledgrplus has no account and no sign-in.
  • Your ledger stays in the app's private storage on your device. It goes to iCloud only if you turn on iCloud sync, and then to your own iCloud account.
  • It has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
  • Two small lookups use the internet, both described below, and you can turn one of them off.

What Ledgrplus stores

Everything you enter: accounts, transactions, transfers, recurring items and their reminders, goals, receipts and settings. It is kept in the app's private storage on your device. OMIUR has no access to it.

iCloud sync

If you turn it on, Ledgrplus keeps your ledger and its receipts in your own private iCloud account so your devices stay in step. Apple stores that data under its own terms, and OMIUR cannot see it. You can turn sync off in Settings, and manage or delete what iCloud holds from your device's iCloud settings.

Receipts

To add a receipt, you can pick an image file, and on iPhone and iPad you can also take a photo with the camera or choose one from your photo library. The camera asks for your permission first, and the photo picker shows Ledgrplus only the photo you choose. Ledgrplus reads the amount, store and date on your device. The photos are not sent to OMIUR or to anyone else. If iCloud sync is on, receipts sync with the rest of your ledger to your own iCloud account.

Passcode, Face ID and Touch ID

You can protect Ledgrplus with a passcode, which is kept in your device's Keychain, and unlock it with Face ID or Touch ID. Your device does the biometric check. Ledgrplus never receives your face or fingerprint.

Reminders

Reminders for recurring items are notifications that Ledgrplus schedules on your device. It asks for your permission when you turn them on, and you can turn them off in Settings or in your device's notification settings.

What uses the internet

  • Searching for a bank by name. What you type is sent to Wikipedia to find the institution.
  • Exchange rates. If you list a currency other than the US dollar, Ledgrplus downloads exchange rates from open.er-api.com once a day. The request carries none of your data. You can turn it off in Preferred Currency.
  • Purchases. Horizon Pro is bought and restored through the App Store.

Those services can see your device's internet address, as any website can, and they have their own privacy policies. Nothing else in Ledgrplus uses the internet apart from iCloud sync, if you turn it on.

Files you choose

You can import CSV, OFX and QFX statements and export CSV and PDF files or backups. Ledgrplus reads and writes those files only where you choose, and does not send them anywhere.

Deleting your data

Settings has a Wipe all data button. It erases your ledger and its receipts from the device. If iCloud sync is on, those deletions sync to your other devices.

Third parties

Ledgrplus contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code. Apart from the lookups described above, it shares nothing with anyone.

Children

Ledgrplus collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
