Terms of use

The short version

• Helix and Ledgrplus are yours to use on your own devices, under Apple's standard licence plus what is on this page.
• Paid features are one-time purchases through the App Store, not subscriptions.
• Ledgrplus's tax and loan pages are estimates for planning. They are not tax, legal or financial advice.
• The apps are provided as they are, without a promise that they will be right for you or free of mistakes.

Who these terms are from

These terms cover the apps Helix and Ledgrplus (together, "the apps") and this website. They come from OMIUR, an independent software publisher. You can reach us at hello@omiur.com, or at helix@omiur.com and ledgrplus@omiur.com for each app.

Your licence

The apps are licensed, not sold, to you through the App Store, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page adds to that agreement. If the two ever disagree, Apple's agreement comes first.

In short, you may use each app on the devices you own or control, as the App Store allows, for your own personal use. Please do not copy the apps, take them apart, remove their notices, or use them for anything unlawful.

Purchases

• Both apps are free to download and to start using.
• Helix Pro is a one-time purchase, with a 14-day free trial of it. The trial is a free purchase from the App Store, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.
• Horizon Pro in Ledgrplus is a one-time purchase that unlocks its Horizon pages on every device signed in to the same Apple Account.
• Neither is a subscription. What a purchase unlocks is described in the app and on its page when you buy.
• Apple handles payment, refunds and Family Sharing, under its own terms. We never see your payment details.

Your data

Helix and Ledgrplus work on your device and have no account. What that means for your information is in each app's privacy policy: Helix and Ledgrplus.

Because we never receive your data, we cannot recover it if it is lost. Ledgrplus can back up and export your ledger: please keep a backup of anything you would mind losing.

Estimates, not advice

Ledgrplus. Its budgets, goals, loan and compound-interest pages, US tax estimates and ACA subsidy planning are calculated from the figures you enter and from rules built into the app. They are estimates to help you plan. They are not tax, legal, financial or accounting advice, they cover US federal tax only, and they may not match your situation or what you finally owe. Please check anything important with a qualified professional.

Helix. It shows what macOS reports about your Mac. Its health score, trends, forecasts and plain-language summaries (including those written by Apple Intelligence) are for information. They do not guarantee the condition of your Mac and are not a replacement for Apple's own diagnostics or service.

No warranty, and limits on our liability

The apps and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make them reliable, but we do not promise that they will be free of errors, always available, or right for what you need.

To the extent the law allows, OMIUR is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for decisions you make using the apps, and our total liability for any app is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Updates and changes

We may update the apps, add or change features, or change these terms. When the terms change, this page shows the new text and the date at the top. If you keep using the apps after that, you accept the update; if you do not, you can stop using them.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. We may stop offering or supporting an app, or ask you to stop if you break these terms.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms. It has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the apps, and questions about them should come to us.
